Jasper is a sedimentary rock. It has a smooth surface and is used for ornamentation or as a gem. It can be polished and used for vases, seals, and, earlier it used for snuff boxes. colors are red or orange.

 

 

 

Red Jasper belongs to the broad family of jasper, which have been highly valued since ancient times for its great variety of colors and geometry of their designs. The variety is very rare monochromatic. Beautiful specimens have been found in South Africa. Red jasper is used as an ornamental stone and sometimes as a gemstone.
